Howdy all, I only have a little time. I found myself leaving the center at 2:00. The wind was howling and the horses where all over the place. They where feeling the wind and knew change once again was going to be there companion. We headed off. I want to thank susan for bringing me my extra boots and who also brought me my camera after I left it in the car. She is a bubbly gal full of beautiful spirit. There are some wonderful souls there. I headed out and the horses had to be reined in for they had one spped they would of preferred. run! We started to settle in and the country was beautiful. We came upon a bunch of vultures in the road, who where feasting on a deer that had been hit. They took off up in the trees. Little did I know that there where a bunch of them in the trees and when we were riding by they decided to take off one after the other. The horses where not sure which direction they wanted to go for all the huge flapping in the trees and the shawdows that danced on the road. We did our share of dancing ourselves in the road. All in all they handled it well. They are huge up close. I rode into some lake side communities and I am eyeing the yards for any possible set up points I never want to pass one buy if it looks promising. These lawns all looked to pampered and I lknow they prefer Scott fertilizer verses my slow release organic mix. I stopped to talk to one person , for I had passed one possible sight. He was not all that much help and I had a feeling I better keep moving as some one was starting to yell at the woman in the wheel chair on the porch. I thanked him and quickly moved on. I finally came upon a really nice field that was full of sweet grass. I went and did my Helooo. A young man named Scottie (8) came to the door. Was very excited about the horses. He went and got his dad Jeff. He was not to sure about me in the begining and wanted to know how long I was planning on staying. When I reasured him it was just for the night he relaxed. Scottie helped me set up and the boys where in 7th heaven. Scottie couldn't gret enough of the boys , brushing and leading them around. He had never been around horses and when I found him on his hand and knees looking very closly at Buds hind leg, I had to let him know that it was not the best place to put your face in case he where to kick at a fly or something. His dad got me a cup of teas and was excited to meet someone who had there own web site and stated that he was not sure what he was to do for me. I reasured him that all was well. He showed me his wonderful old cars that he is restoring. Jeff left with Scott to go get Pizza and they invited me in for a bite. He wanted me to go vivist the montisouri school whichof cxourse was about 10 miles out of my way. I declined but thanked him for the thought. He said he wanted to go , but they don't have an adult program. His wife Susan came home with there daughter Allison(7). Scottie was so cute earlier for he wanted to save some brushing for his sister. He stated that she will flipp out when she sees the horses. After a good nights sleep the kids brought me out some french toast and tea. Thanks kids, it was wonderful.Sue is a teacher and Jeff does social work for the courts. Both kind people and I thank you very much for allowing us a safe space for the night. In the morning That fellow Jim, at least I think that is his name for his shirt states the patch. He was wondering how I slept. I told him well and thanked him. Another fellow came buy who had seen me riding the day before and was wanting to help with the mapping. He brought me his atlas. He wrote me a note saying that I was allowed in his home and that he would leave his phone on the porch. Very sweet. I never did ride past his house. I was leaving forestburg Ny and on my way to narrowsburg. It was a beautiful day and a bit cooler without the wind. The boys where ready. We settled into a nice pace and I was relaxed and feeling good about the day. The hazzel nuts where dropping everywhere. I was hoping that they would miss the rumps of my four legged buddies. A toyota stopped and inquired about my journey, I gave him a card and he stated that I was beautiful and drove off His car full of little stuffed animals. . We stopped and the boys grazed and I munched on some of my granola. a couple of old guys stopped and chatted with me as I was heading out. We started down a steep road full of sharp corners. It took a while to get down. It was a beautiful march area with a river. i spoke to the security person at the ggate and went to pull out my map. No map. So we hauled our selfs back up the hill and found my map at the top. Thank goodness. Dwon we came again and kept right on moving. It was a good thing that that person was there or else I would of not found out it was missing till much later. After about an hour a cxar comes up behind me and blasts on the orsn. It is mister toyota guy, He waved slowd down wished me luck and told me I was beautiful again. I smiled and thanked him , but my mind was had visions of me far away and hoping that the horses would not leave their organic trail for a long time. I felt a bit uneasy. I was coming into another lake side community and the hazzelnuts decided to let go on a tin roof and of course that woke us up real quick. as we wnet on their was an older couple out on the road side they knew I was coming. The montisour teacher from that school that jeff wanted me to visit had seen me go past. She came out as I was talking to these other fine folks. as I was headed off there where two other men talking on the side of the road and they asked if I was riding from texas, Nope NH. They laughed and one guy asked for my autograph. I gave it to him and he said you nevcer know you may end up on TV. We laughed and I moveds on. I was coming to a small down town and saw a van with at trailer at the gas station. The boys are on high alert for all the happenings around town. Iwe rode through and that trailer stopped and asked what I was doing. I told them and off they went. I was heading up a steep hill and three kids where getting ready to haul down the road on one bike ONe driving one on the handle bars and one on the back pegs. I got the boys ready in case of a loud crash . I told them to be careful and they reasured me and off they went. I am getting to old for that kind of stuff. Ah Youth. Foolish and brave. GThat van was at the top of the hill and there where 2 adults and a young girl on the side of the road waiting to greet me again. The girl jumping up and down clapping her hands. They asked more questions and then invited me to stay stray of course Courtney invited me to stay in her room and I looked at her grand parents Nancy and Bill and told her that we will see. It was a long way there and courtney greeted me on her bike about an hour later. Bill rode up on his 4 wheeler. I was greeted with open arms and Bill reasured me that we would have some environmental debates. Bring it on!!! We brought the boys to the top of the hill and set their fencing up. Beautiful shag bark hickory up there. I went down with them, Courtney having fun bossing the horses aboutleading them here and there. I told her that I think that they needed a good rest and that she should come with us. Nancy was cooking on the grill and I had the best meal with corn on the cob and staek. Tender!!! Courtney gor her room ready for me. They told me that a strom was coming in , so I planned to stay tight if it was coming. Bill and I chatted about plastics and microwaves and he said that a family member had lost there baby that was born with leukemia. 6 months old. Many people do back yard burning around here and we talked about the release of pollutants and if it is affecting people that it is also affecting the wildlife. He is convinced about plastics but he still likes his microwave. They are bird hunters and of course want to preserve the land for wildlife. They are having a battle of a casino wanting to enter there town. Why is it when people see a sleepy town the first thing they want to do is change it. They leave the city because they don't like it then they want to change the place they move to. People live in these towns because they like it the way it is. My daughter Hester told me this saying. When man harms man it is a crime, But when man harms nature it is progress. It does not make sense to me. What wonderful people. I spent the following day hunkered down as the winds whipped and the rain came slamming in. Nancy took me to get some grain and to show me the bridge that I would be going over to cross into PA. We had a wonderful dinner again nancy makes the most tender meat dishes ! The girls had ther homework done. And they headed off to bed. I met Bills and nancy's son in the afternoon , they are all gearing up for the season. All wonderufl people and I know that I have some life long friend s with these folks. Bill had the paper come over the following morning and we did an article , Bill did state his new view on plastics. As I was getting the horses ready in the morning the pony decided to untie himself and head off towards the road. So bill got his 4 wheeler and I grabbed Bud and off we went to gather up the escapeeeee. All gathered we got things set up packed up and as I sang happy trails to nancy and Bill , Bill told me not to quit my day job. Thanksd you all. I have to go now and get the horses ready. there is much more to catch up on. Keep bringing your pladstics back to the store and request that the manager send them back to the comapny or better yet send them back yourself you you can put a note in requesting and more eath friendly package. Be well all Blessings, Namaste, Mary

Howdy all, I am taking advantage of this computor while I have it. This place is so amazing, I am thankful for the rain for it has allowed me to meet more people and see more of what is offered. It seems that every time I turn around there is more to see and discover. Layer upon layer like a rose bud when you peel one petal you discover another. I visited one of there farms where they have live stock and they have built the most amazing barn, huge with a class room in it. For those people who are capable they teach what to do around the farm. From gardening to live stock they all have jobs, while the children have school. They keep these wonderful people connected to the earth and they are always learning. Showing that they have value and that they are important in the tapistry of life. These beings themselves have so much to offer, I think they are the teachers of compassion and love and patience, not us, I know after this enriching experience I will never be the same. I thank you all for that. In each smile and each burst of ethusiasim you can see that these folks are never the victim, they are partisipants in this thing called life, participating fully and to my observation joyfully. Please take the time to take a look at their web site.

This ride is about what we are leaving behind as a legacy and so the question is asked what are we doing to our environment that is creating such malignacies, where humans are having these emotional and physical defects? Obviously the soul and spirit are not defected in these people. We all complain about stuff and perhaps we scratch our heads because we do not know what type of action to take. Again start at home with your actions, cleaing fluids, bringing back the plastics or sending the plastic to the company stating this is not what you want in your childs future. Each plastic toy will some day end up in an incinerator or land fill. Inch by inch is a cinch. If you where the child wouldn't it make you feel good that your folks where taking a bit of time to take action for the future of your kids.
Michele, the manager at the barn took me on a long tour of the Center. The imaginarium was wonderfulfull full of color and different animals, reptiles, fish and even two roosters the have their own wind chimes to play. They have gardens that have different textures for them to feel , smell, and taste. No matter which way you turn or from what direction your looking at a building it is beautiful . No ware housing of the human soul here! It is amazing where you can find lessons to grow by. I am hoping to have some pictures soon .I had a bunch of stuff put on disk so hopfully Nancy at act one can put them on for me. The boys are wonderful and enjoying the rest and the room where they can run if they choose. I am holding tight till this rain ends, which I hope is tonight so I can get moving. Next stop PA, YEA!!!, I want to thank every one here at the Center for Discovery for there warmth, there hospitality, and for opening my eyes and heart to this wonderful experience. warm loving Blessings to all namistae ,
